If you’re experiencing increased worry, fear, muscle tension, heart-racing, sleep disturbance or other signs of anxiety, individual therapy is a great tool to help you. Together we will discuss the sources of anxiety in your life, both from the past and now. Stress can live in our bodies so we will take care of both your body and your mind in our work together. You’re not alone in this experience. Heightened anxiety is being reported at unprecedented levels since the pandemic started. If you’ve started to develop panic attacks, insomnia or trouble focusing on the heels of the pandemic, I’d like to work with you! Just because things have opened up doesn’t mean that our nervous systems have re-adjusted.

Mindfulness Tools

I use modalities that incorporate mindfulness tools, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), as well as mindset tools based on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Having mixed feelings about making changes is expected, and I use a style of counseling called Motivational Interviewing (MI) when you’re looking to sort through your feelings about the changes you’re considering. We will also be using insight-oriented therapy to gain awareness of your early life experiences that may have shaped the way you interact with your internal world, other people and your environment.

Stress is a part of everyone’s life. You can develop ways to be kinder to yourself when you’re stressed. We can work together to help you learn a better way of approaching your internal experiences.

Get individualized support so you can make friends with anxiety and start living your awesome life again.
